2012 was a relatively stable year for incentives. Businesses appear to be rebounding from hitting bottom, and many are seeing sales increases by gaining market share from their competitors. It’s a perfect time to rejuvenate or relaunch your own new and improved rewards program.
On the HR side of things, businesses have reduced employee payroll and have made keeping their best talent a top priority. Loyalty programs are becoming a popular way to ensure employee motivation.
In this climate, the use of non-cash rewards as an incentive has never been more appropriate. Recent studies from McKinsey, Harvard and Aberdeen found that companies that use sales incentives outperform their peers in almost every category. In the PWC 14th annual CEO Survey, the majority of CEO’s surveyed said that “using more non-financial rewards to motivate staff” was the most prevalent enhancement to their HR strategies.
The Incentive Research Foundation 2012 trends report found that in order for motivation firms to sell HR or channel incentives, we have to:
- Provide research that cites ROI
- Map key performance indicators
- Create a system that utilizes tech advancements and special media that increases client touch points for maximum ROI
Incentive Solutions’ unique combination of online reward programs, non-cash rewards, gift cards and individual/group travel incentives does just that.
We work tirelessly to remain at the forefront of these trends, and to successfully incorporate them into the products and services we offer.
