Customer incentive programs have had a pronounced role in the retail and fashion industry for quite some time, and Nordstrom recently announced its plans to make significant improvements in its fashion rewards program by offering attractive benefits on all tiers.
The Seattle leader in fashion specialty retail announced its redesign of the Nordstrom Fashion Rewards program as part of its all-encompassing goal to enhance customer loyalty. The improvements made to the program place greater control in the hands of the customers by making it easier for rewards program members to take advantage of numerous services.
“Fashion Rewards is a key part of our efforts to provide better service and build long-term relationships with our customers,” said Kevin Knight, president of Nordstrom Credit. “We spent a lot of time over the past year listening to customers and looking at how we could improve our Fashion Rewards program. We’re excited about this redesign and how it will help us offer more meaningful benefits to more of our loyal customers.”
Other features of the improved Fashion Rewards program include complimentary alterations for all members, the addition of personal triple points days on all tiers, Nordstrom Rack part of bonus points events and simpler access to higher levels of benefits.
The auto industry is also a major player in the reward program world. Ford Motor Company recently repeated its past performances by taking home top honors during the 16th annual Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards, presented recently at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit.
“The awards represent an OEM’s success in bringing consumers back into their showrooms when they return to market for a new vehicle,” said Brad Smith, director of Polk’s Loyalty Management Practice. “OEMs are more focused than ever before on customer loyalty programs, and those that place high priority on these initiatives are reaping the rewards.”
Hyundai also was a big winner that night and was honored for the first time by Polk. Smith added that Hyundai’s showing at the awards is a testament to its product and confirmation that is becoming one of the more exciting brands of automobile in the United States today.
