BitDefender renews focus on partners

Internet security firm BitDefender has announced a new channel program that will give its resellers increased support capabilities and better sales incentives.

The company says its program is part of a new focus on channel sales. The system will include three partner incentive levels – Gold, Silver and Bronze – which give its partner companies flexible pricing and healthy margins. The company’s channel also involves one-on-one training, marketing support, lead generation and sales planning tools.

"We’re excited to offer a complete program to partners that will aggressively reward them as they help us grow," said Keith Alston, North America channel sales director for BitDefender. "We’re moving from direct sales to working with channel partners, expanding our customer base and entering new markets. We’re excited to work with the channel community."

In addition, the company will give its channel resellers a 100-percent margin on their first sale.

BitDefender has also earned industry recognition for its award-winning products. Last month, the company’s Antivirus 2010 product earned a Readers’ Choice Award from security resource website WindowSecurity.com.
