D-link launches incentive program for channel partners

The networking firm D-Link has launched a new point-based channel incentive program for its partner companies in South Africa.

The Purchase and Earn program gives resellers 10 points for every R100 – approximately US$13 – of D-Link products that are bought during the month. As those points build up, they can be used towards gift vouchers for a variety of products and merchandise.

"Once a reseller signs up to become a registered partner of D-Link, he or she will be able to start earning marketing dollars through a reward point scheme to accumulate wealth in reaping different levels of benefits," said Marlo du Plessis, D-Link’s South Africa marketing manager.

A release from the company stated that it has also invested "considerable funds" into its channel communication platform, which will help partner companies be more effective.

The company plays a significant role in the networking market, both in the U.S. and around the world. Since starting in Taiwan in 1986, the company has grown to have five manufacturing plants around the globe and a network of distributors in 90 countries.
