Lenovo announces new channel incentive program

The computer manufacturer Lenovo has announced a new channel program that offers new sales and performance incentives to encourage its partners to expand their offerings in the services field.

"We’ve always given partners the flexibility to pick and choose which Lenovo services best fit their needs, and now we’re rewarding them for helping to grow priority services," said Peter Bartolotta, senior vice president of global services for the company.

Among the new additions is a program that gives partners an additional 10 discount points if they sell the company’s Priority Support in addition to its other offerings. The company is also creating a dedicated support center to help answer any questions about the product lineup that its partners may have.

The company has experienced extremely strong recent growth. Lenovo’s partner newsletter from June 3 said that the company was named as the top vendor for notebooks and mobile computing in the CRN Channel Champions survey for the second year in a row. The newsletter says the company grew 59 percent in the first quarter of 2010, following 42 percent growth in the final quarter of 2009.
