Lifeboat distribution announced as first channel member of PartnerWorks Alliance Program
A new software category, pioneered by VirtualWorks, will provide complete integration for data sprawl between application silos across a broad platform and deliver an efficient and productive end-user computing experience.
VirtualWorks Group, a leader in content virtualization solutions for dealing with data sprawl, recently announced the inaugural phase of its incentive program that will be known as PartnerWorks alliance program. The new initiative is designed specifically for distributors, value-added resellers and channel partners.
“There is a strong market opportunity to address the growing issue of data sprawl that is reducing employee productivity in organizations of all sizes,” said Edward Iacobucci, chairman and CEO of VirtualWorks. “It’s a big problem that requires a strong ecosystem of partners to solve.”
The program will be rolled out phase by phase in an effort to connect a global network of channel partners all working toward integrating data and improving efficiency. Technology partners and software developers with relevant information will also be included in the worldwide network in an effort to maximize the output of data relevant to organizations.
“We have done most of the heavy lifting by developing pre-integrated, plug-and-play products that are designed for VARs to create value around in partnership with VirtualWorks and others,” Iacobucci said. “We make it easy to customize solutions that are fast to deploy and generate both near-term and recurring revenues for VARs.”
Lifeboat Distribution, a subsidiary of Wayside Technology Group that specializes in international software distribution, has signed a distribution agreement with VirtualWorks Group that will allow Lifeboat to distribute VirtualWorks’ content virtualization software in North America.

The first phase of the PartnerWorks alliance program includes two levels of participation that feature premier or registered, with the status depending on the reseller’s sales volume, technical expertise and proven commitment to VirtualWorks.
VirtualWorks, in return for proven commitment, will reward members of its channel program with top-tier marketing, technical and sales assistance.
