Motorola calls for new channel incentive programs

Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions will soon be ringing its partners to tell them about the new channel incentive program it will soon launch. The new points-based program will award partners based on their success in sales, customers satisfaction, and vertical expertise, reports CRN.

Named PartnerEmpower, the program will debut at Motorola’s partner conference coming up in Las Vegas and take effect April 1. The new channel incentive will account for particular specializations held by partners in specific markets like health care and government.

PartnerEmpower has three different program tracks – wireless network solutions, radio and mobility – each with its own set of benefits. The new program tracks provide different opportunities for certifications, and elite designations merit an array of rewards, reports Phone Plus magazine.

Officials hope that the new incentive program will give partner loyalty a boost as they understand that their partners are critical to the health of their company.

“Having a model that backs partners in the local market with local expertise is really where I think everybody needs to go. And we’re changing our go-to-market messaging, websites, everything, to talk about the power of the partner,” Janet Schijns, vice president of global channels for Motorola EMS, told CRN.

Motorola is not alone in its efforts to expand channel incentives and other loyalty programs. A reports from the Chief Marketing Officer Council indicates that companies currently spend more than $2 billion running reward programs.
