Wireless networking and telephone solution vendor revamps its reseller program

EnGenius Technologies, a wireless networking and telephone solution vendor, has announced plans to improve its channel incentive program by launching a revamped program for its resellers.

According to ITbusiness.ca, the reworked program came about when EnGenius Technologies, an industry leader in wireless communications and radio frequency technology, consulted with its North American partners and decided a change in format was necessary.

“We compared our program against others that were best in class in the industry,” Vicki Bilyeu, channel marketing manager for EnGenius, told the news source.

The revamped program offers two authorized and elite levels to its resllers: Elite partners commit to a dollar volume and extendend maintenance offerings; authorized partners don’t have to commit to any type of dollar volume.

Additional improvements to the reseller program include an online quiz based on the company’s portfolio of wireless offerings that can be completed by new resellers who will receive free product demos for doing so.

“I thought it was fantastic,” Pam Bains, manager of London, Ontario-based Microcad Computer, told the news source. “(For) a lot of the products, a lot of technical knowledge is required of them.” The free product demos are also an advantage for a reseller like hers because she has a physical storefront, she said.

The top channel partners were recently honored at the Fall 2011 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Chicago. The Top 15 Channel Managers were also honored at the event with Windstream’s Vin Garofano of Raleigh, North Carolina, taking home one of the select rewards.

Garofano was chosen from about 80 candidates by readers who cast their vote for the top channel managers. Garofano has been dealer manager for Windstream, an S&P 500 communications and technology solutions provider, for eight years and has served in the channel for as many years.

“Several winners made the Top 15 because of write-in votes,” said Khali Henderson, Channel Partners editor-in-chief. “Such close margins show just how much all of the nominated channel managers mean to their agents.”

Garofano said his passion is the success the dealers have with Windstream’s channel program.
