APC announces incentive rewards program for partners
Power supplies manufacturer American Power Conversion recently announced it was adding a reward program for its partners, ChannelWeb reports. The company said it expects to add incentives over time, allowing solution providers to choose how they would like to be rewarded.
Under the APC Rewards Program, solution providers will be able to earn points based on sales of APC products, regardless of their level.
Gordon Lord, APC director of channel marketing and programs, told ChannelWeb that points can be redeemed for consumer products or experiences such as travel and race car driving. The rewards offered will change over time, making the program more flexible.
APC is also examining options for partners to redeem points through the company’s top four distributors, Lord said, explaining that officials are still working on “how to make the plumbing work.” He added that APC pursued a points-based loyalty program because it was a popular way to target individual sales reps.
This week, APC announced a special promotion in recognition of Earth Day. For every one of its power-saving surge protectors sold between April 18 and April 24, the company will contribute five dollars to the Earth Day network, an organization that supports the environmental movement around the globe.
