StorSimple launches channel marketing

Enterprise file storage firm StorSimple has released details of its new channel incentive marketing program.

The company will offer many benefits to its partners, including multi-tiered reseller levels, sales incentives, referral fees and sales lead generation and distribution. Officials also say partners will be given ongoing opportunities for on-site or online training and periodic product updates.

“StorSimple is ready now to share resources and expertise with its partners in order to expand their presence in the respective markets and support their customers,” said Bill Cordero, vice president of worldwide channels and strategic sales.

The company uses cloud-based technology, giving customers the capability to store files for various programs – like Microsoft SharePoint or Exchange – off-site. That allows the customer to reduce their own investment in data storage and saves them money.

Cloud-based technology is one of the fastest-growing sectors of information technology. A recent IDC report found that half of companies are now considering moving at least some of their data services to virtual servers. Revenues from the industry are expected to grow to more than $12 billion by 2014.
