Improvements announced to ‘Green Team’ channel program from Kaspersky Lab

Kaspersky Lab has enhanced its “Green Team” channel program with recently announced improvements to the program’s rewards, deal registration and training tools, ChannelWeb reports. Executives told the website that the company is “committed to enhancing and optimizing” the program for its partners.

The adjustments include an incentive rewards program based on the acquisition of new customers. Channel partners will also have the advantage of revised customer account registration, which will allow partners with an approved business plan to register protection for specific customer accounts.

Additional revisions will give partners access to co-branded and customized software downloads to make customer trials easier.

Kristin Capone, vice president of North American channel sales for Kaspersky, told the website that “the driving force [behind the program] was to be able to go to market and reward partners that are making significant investments in Kaspersky today.” She added that making partners successful and providing them with proper tools was important.

Kaspersky was recently honored as the top company in the client security category of ChannelWeb’s 2010 Channel Champions survey. The antivirus company was listed first for all three of the category’s criteria: Technical satisfaction, support satisfaction and financial factors.
