Informatica announces new channel partner program
Data integration software provider Informatica recently announced its INFORM Channel Program – the company's first – which will serve authorized value-added reseller channel partners worldwide.
The program will facilitate a more strategic alliance with partners by providing them priority access to the company's internal sales enablement and demand generation resources in order to accelerate revenue growth. A new self-service infrastructure was also created with the aim of streamlining the partner education and accreditation process.
"The need for comprehensive data integration solutions has never been so vast or urgent," said Harry Gould, senior vice president of alliances at the company. "Through the new program, Informatica channel partners are able to create affordable, competitive solutions packages that effectively address their markets' data integration and data quality challenges. Our commitment is to get partners up to speed fast on differentiating, selling and delivering the Informatica Platform."
Informatica – which serves more than 4,300 enterprises across the globe – will provide a host of channel incentives to partners. These include giving partners priority access to product-specific sales, pre-sales and implementation training and accelerated field engagement via Informatica Sales Champions.
Additionally, those who complete company-specific certification exams will become Informatica certified. Partners holding this title will be allowed to offer the company's platform to customers based on their skill level of gold, silver or bronze.
Channel development funds for marketing, educational and professional services are available to encourage partners to engage in joint marketing and demand-generation activities in collaboration with the company. Program partners are also given the option of participating in company events worldwide, including sponsoring the organization's annual global customer conference, Informatica World 2012, which is set to take place in Las Vegas.
Earlier this month, the company introduced a major addition to its online Informatica Marketplace community – the Big Data Mall. The marketplace contains a number of specialized "malls" grouped around specific market needs, such as debugging and productivity tools as well as cloud integration.
Within the Big Data Mall, data integration users and developers can browse transactional data processing and transactional data analytics solutions.
