New program from D-Link set to help channel partners

D-Link has kicked off a channel program to help its partners take advantage of the company’s new offerings. The program, along with the company’s first-ever line of chassis switches, was officially announced this week at Interop Las Vegas 2010, ChannelWeb reports.

The Value in Partnership program has been put in place to help partners hold their own against competitors already in the enterprise market. D-Link’s president for North America, Nick Tidd, told ChannelWeb the program is designed to reward partners that take a chance on D-Link and spread the word about the company’s value-consciousness. He said the company wants an "understanding of how can our partners a) make money and b) be profitable selling our solutions."

As part of its incentive strategy, D-Link has released on-demand training and development tools for parters in the VIP program. ChannelWeb reports that the company has also launched two new certifications to recognize partners who achieve specific levels of expertise in sales and technology.

D-Link this week also introduced a new unified switch and access point combination networking solution. The technology is designed to optimize network performance for mid-to-large enterprises and service providers.
