Walgreens, Take Care Health Systems to offer wellness services to employer clients
The nation’s largest manager of employer pharmacy, health and fitness centers, and of the nation’s most recognizable chain drug stores have teamed up to provide employers access to advanced wellness, nutrition and fitness programs.
Take Care Health Systems and Walgreens will offer a generous incentive program to employer clients, which will include healthcare cost savings from 10 to 30 percent. It will also provide modern facilities, which will reduce costs associated with healthcare services as well as improve the overall well-being of employees and promote productivity in the workplace.

Athletes’ Performance developed the platform utilized by Core Performance, which promotes fitness, nutrition and wellness programs and incorporates Web-based instruction and accurate results tracking in advanced fitness facilities.

Hotz added the partnership will benefit employers utilizing the tried and tested methodology as well as provide a wokforce full of happy and productive employees.
Expansion of onsite pharmacy and other health services is becoming more of a priority for employers, according to a Towers Watson and the National Business Group on Health 2011 report. This partnership is expected to bring Walgreens and Take Care Health Systems to the forefront in assisting employers in meeting their health-related needs.
The nation’s largest drugstore chain with 7,714 stores across the country and 2010 sales reaching $67 billion, Walgreens has become a trusted and affordable source for health, wellness and pharmacy services.
Take Care Health Systems is a subsidiary of Walgreens and is the largest manager of worksite health centers and in-store clinics in the United States, with more than 700 locations in the country.
